Assassins is a game of hide and seek turned search and destroy. You “kill” people by shooting them with a water gun or “weapon” which could be any water projectile. You are an assassin because you have a target. Your target has their own target they must kill and so on. You have an assassin as well. Once you “kill” your target they tell you who their target was and they become yours (you should also notify the judges of your kill so they can confirm your next target). The last person standing wins the game and the prize. Assassins generally forces people to get to know their targets, as the target themselves don’t know who’s after them. ICC wide this will be more prevalent and hopefully you’ll get to know new people better. That is if you don’t get killed right away. There are safe zones, which are any city block with an ICC house. Meaning you can’t be killed at home or at New Guild or at the office paying rent. Anyway, here’s the rules…
Everyone throws in $2 each to play and the winner takes all
John will make a random list of all players and their targets (the list is circular and closes as people die).
You may only use a water gun or water projectile that is easily identifiable as a water weapon to “kill”. (ie- water guns, water balloons, water hoses)
You may only “kill” your target or anyone else outside of a Safe Zone. A safe zone is any city block that has an occupied ICC house on it (Helios, 1910, and Arrakis are not occupied wrt these rules). Streets are not included. The street begins at the curb. Alleys are included. (ie behind Seneca, New Guild, French House)
You may only “shoot” your target or your assassin, or anyone pointing their weapon at you in a threatening manner outside the safe zones. If you kill someone who is not your target or your assassin, you must tell John as soon as possible so that the circle can be “patched” (there will probably be a dispute in this case too).
All disputes about whether someone was in a safe zone, was pointing their weapon at you, or “Didn’t hit” you, will be determined by John, with disputed rulings going to a full three judge panel. The three judge panel's ruling is final.
If you shoot someone that is not your target, assassin, or someone pointing their weapon at you, you are automatically “dead” . Again, contact John as soon as possible so that the circle can be patched.
A kill is determined if one shoots someone squarely on any part of their body.
Note, that if there is a dispute about who shot who first (ie- in a shootout), there are three possible outcomes: one person dies, both die, or neither die. (Keep in mind that this is a rare situation)
