The Basics of Our House
This Queen Anne-style Victorian house, complete with turret, offers a personal, homey atmosphere for 17 people. This house features a decorative wood staircase, hardwood floors in common areas, high ceilings and porches. Helios serves delicious food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. An eclectic group of fun-loving people, Helios members take pride in their home.
Our Community Structure
Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals usually served between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. House members perform 6 points worth of labor per week. One point is worth approximately one hour.
Helios has a limit of 4 animals at one time, not including caged pets in member's rooms. All animals must weigh less than 40 pounds. All cats must be spayed or neutered. When these requirements are met, each pet must then be voted on by the members of Helios. Pets are voted in on a first come, first served basis.
Smoking is permitted in individual member rooms with door closed, and on the front and back porches.
