The Basics of Our House
Arrakis officially opened in February 2004. This brand new co-op is home to twenty students. In addition to being able to house three members needing ADA accessible housing it features high-speed internet connections throughout the house, a great view of the UT tower, brand new modern kitchen facilities, and a friendly community. Arrakis is the only ICC Co-op fully sprinklered to keep our members safe. Visit the house or email and learn all about the most modern of the ICC co-ops.
Our Community Structure
Home to graduate students and undergrads, international students and home-grown Austinites, we are a mixed and dynamic bunch of coopers. We have 5 shared rooms and 10 single rooms. Our dining is a mix of cuisines that caters mostly to omnivores. We allow smoking only on our porch and have a study/TV room in addition to our spacious commons area. At four blocks from campus many of us ride bikes around but there is some limited off street parking available for about 7 cars.
We have house meetings every other Sunday.
Arrakis is in the heart of the co-op community with another co-op as our neighbor and many co-ops only a block away to encourage great parties and good company.
