Join the Alumni Association
Help sustain our active alumni program: become a member of the ICC Alumni Association. The Alumni Steering Committee will put your membership donation towards things like events, outreach efforts, scholarships for outstanding co-opers financial need, and facilities development. Members of the ICC Alumni Association receive thanks, recognition and free admission to Austin Co-op Music Festival, our yearly celebration of cooperative businesses and housing.
Are you able to make an extra donation of your time an effort to build a lasting, self-sustaining alumni program? Your help is very much needed on the Alumni Steering Committee. Alumni Association members interested in becoming a Steering Committee member should email ashley@iccaustin.coop.
Recent college graduates, who left school within the last three years, can join for $10 per year. For all others, $35 per year covers your expenses. We hope that you'll choose to become a lifetime member for $350, which will give a boost of momentum to our alumni outreach efforts. And, one need not become a member to donate to ICC.

Why We Need Your Help
If you would prefer to donate to scholarships and expansion in place of or along with joining the alumni association, you may also do so on this page. Austin, and particularly West Campus, can be an expensive place to live, particularly for students and new residents. For many, it's the low cost of living in co-ops that allows them to attend school or live here. Even so, our members with financial need can find it hard to make ends meet.
Our existing Art, Education and NASCO scholarships reward active members for contributions that go beyond cooperation, but they are a very small step towards meeting the financial need of our community. We're looking for generous alumni to donate to a scholarship fund, giving a hand-up to those who need it. Significantly, scholarships aren't the only way we can keep co-ops affordable. Capital improvement and expansion projects keep our occupancy rates high and rent low, too.
Your gifts to our scholarship or capital improvement projects are an invaluable source of help to our current members. Your gift is tax-deductible and greatly appreciated. Donations for those two causes are taken here, on this page.

In the future, we would like an Alumni Steering Committee to determine the recipients of their scholarship and to give their input to the ICC board about our expansion goals. If you're interested in joining the Steering committee, please email ashley@iccaustin.coop.
Other Ways to Give Back: In-Kind and Retirement Plan Donations
We recognize that our alumni have gone on to do awesome things. We hope that for many, the experience of living in a co-op has helped them achieve their goals, whether it let you afford to go to school or gave you leadership and life experiences you needed to succeed. In that spirit, we welcome the in-kind donations of all sorts of skills and expertise. Would you be willing to hold a skill-sharing event or seminar, or would you be willing to help co-opers find internships in your field? Lawyers, teachers, bicycle and home repair experts, jugglers--we would love to hear from you. Please contact ashley@iccaustin.coop.
Alumni may also opt to include ICC in their will or retirement plan. If you would like to make a planned gift or create an endowed scholarship for our co-ops, please contact Brian Donovan, brian@iccaustin.coop. Your gift, large or small, means the world to us.
